Homophobic Bullying
Don't stand for homophobic bullying. It is not okay to bully someone because of what they do or who they are. It is easier to just accept people for who they are and what they've become. That is the best way to live. I believe that discriminating a person or persons for liking the same gender is not okay. By doing the little things like not bullying other people for something we have no control over can help lead the world in the right path. The main focus for us is world peace, taking little steps such as this can inch us closer to the main goal. Once again, just accept people for who they are because it is uncontrolled by you.
Uprising In Egypt
Egyptian citizens have began to protest poverty, rampant unemployment, government corruption, and autocratic governance of President Hosni Mubarak. Egypt has yet to see a protest this big since the 1970's. The government responded by blocking their citizens from twitter and facebook. These were the tools used to communicate with other citizens about the protests and rally's. Protests occurred in three major cities in Egypt; Cairo, Alexandria, and Suez. Mohamed ElBaradei, returned to Egypt from Vienna. He was seen as a potential leader if Mubarak should ever lose power. ElBaradei began to lead the protests. When the largest protests were about to take place they got shut down because the government began to shut down all access to internet. They were using facebook and twitter to start some of these rallies.

Peace Throughout The World
The video we saw on the poverty that is happening in Central Asia was an eye opener. Many families struggle to make it through the week. There is very low education there so many of the kids become illiterate. They try to educate the kids with the basic abilities like math, reading, etc. They also teach the very briefly about STD's and condoms. The Central Asia Institute helps with these causes. They accept people by serving you three cups of tea. The first one is for getting to know one another, as if you were a stranger. The second cup is to become friends. Finally, the third cup is to become like a family. It takes quite a while to become a part of the family but the point is to treat each other like a family. Greg Mortenson is one of the main people making a difference in Central Asia. He is helping people and changing their lives. It is truly remarkable. It is very time consuming for him but he helps kids with education also. Education is the key to success. By Greg helping these children get a valuable education is a great thing.
Peace
When I think of peace, I think of happiness. People who are happy with where they are in life are more likely to be peaceful with one another. Also when i think of peace I think of getting along and being non-violent. this relates to the term "World Peace" which basically means a world with no hate, everyone getting along and becoming one nation. One last thing I think of when I hear peace is security. For people to be peaceful I believe they need to feel safe where they're at and also to have peace at mind. Peace is something that everyone wants to have.
